Why a telephone booth?
woodtec, the specialist for free-standing room-in-room solutions, also offers high-quality telephone booths in addition to many other room sizes and room types. These smallest room units in the versatile vetroCUBE room-in-room system range can be real problem solvers for office spaces. You know the loud and intensive phone calls from colleagues. Everyone knows how disruptive such phone calls can be. Conversely, the conversations of colleagues can be very distracting and disturbing for the person on the phone. The telephone booth, telephone box or phonebooth, whatever you call it, provides a lasting remedy.
Special features of the vetroCUBE telephone box from woodtec:
The outstanding and certified sound insulation. The ventilation system is efficient, quiet and controllable. The lighting and ventilation control system can be connected to the building management system. The telephone box is maintenance-free. The electrification is integrated and can be connected to the building via a defined interface. The appearance of the telephone box is unique thanks to the frameless glass surfaces and column-free glass corners. The result is an airy and light construction.
Design of the telephone box:
The vetroCUBE on woodtec telephone box is a small space miracle. We like to offer our telephone booths with glass on three sides and with glass corners. Experience has shown that users feel very comfortable despite the small size. The room simply appears much larger and more spacious thanks to the frameless glass surfaces. In addition, your colleagues can see where you are, whether the phone booth is free or occupied and can react accordingly. The glass and highly transparent telephone booths fit perfectly into your office space. You don't have a “box” in the room.
Variants of the telephone box:
What we like, not every user likes. Of course, we can also minimize the glazing so that the user perhaps feels more secure. Ultimately, you decide how the phone booth should be designed. At this point, however, please bear in mind that transparency can also be limited by wrapping. This gives you more flexibility for the future and allows you to restore transparency, for example when colleagues have become accustomed to working in an open and transparent environment.
Soundproofing and acoustics:
Very important: the telephone booth as well as all other solutions of the room-in-room system are always acoustically optimized. Don't worry about the gas surfaces. The few solid walls that we use and the ceiling element are fitted with high-performance absorbers so that we guarantee a reverberation time of between 0.3 and 0.4 seconds. In terms of sound insulation, the vetroCUBE room-in-room system is available with sound insulation of 37 dB or 40 dB. This also applies to the telephone booth. In most cases, 37 dB sound insulation is sufficient for our customers. This is enough to ensure that no syllables can be heard outside the cube.
System ventilation in harmony with the thermal environment:
Quiet and effective ventilation of the telephone booth contributes significantly to user acceptance. The fan box on the ceiling element reliably extracts the heated and stale air. The air flow rate is 180 m³/h. Fresh and cool air flows in close to the floor via the solid wall. The ventilation principle works in harmony with the thermal system and keeps the room cool for a long time. A presence detector in the ceiling switches the ventilation automatically. The ventilation is switched on as soon as the user enters the Cube. Optionally, the user can readjust the preset control volume flow (air volume).
Light:
The telephone booth needs good lighting, individually dimmable and intelligently controlled. The light is switched on and off via a presence detector integrated in the ceiling. The user has the option of switching or dimming the light individually.
Electrification:
The room-in-room solution is delivered according to the “plug and play” principle. All electrotechnical elements installed in the Cube are pre-wired internally via pluggable and reverse polarity protected connections.
230 V interface:
All 230 V electrification functions converge on the ceiling in the control box. This small control box also provides the interface, a Wieland GST18i3FS2RV socket, for the fixed connection of the telephone box. Our fitters carry out an initial function test after installation using a test cable. However, the permanent connection and formal commissioning in accordance with DIN VDE 0100 must be carried out by a local electrician.
Data cabling:
If network connections are required in the telephone box, you or your service provider will hand over the patch cables to our fitters during installation. We then pull them directly to the corresponding interfaces. We will discuss the required interfaces with you before production. The standard for the telephone box is 2x 230 V and 1x USB charger.
Fire protection:
In our experience, if an office space is equipped with a fire alarm system, the telephone booths must also be connected. Ultimately, however, you need to check this against your fire protection concept. We then prepare the ceiling of the telephone box so that the specialist contractor can simply install the relevant components.
From time to time we are asked for non-combustible telephone boxes. We can do that too. Just ask us.
